Mount Tianzhu - also known as Mount Wan - is a prominent mountain located in the Anhui province's  Qianshan County in Anqing City. Its name translates to "heaven pillar mount" and some of its older names include Mount Huo, Mount Heng and Taiyue. Soaring over 1,700 metres into the sky, Mount Tianzhu features a total of 45 peaks, of which the tallest measures up to 1,760 metres in height. The history of the mountain can be traced as far back as 106 BC, when the emperor of the Han Dynasty named Mount Tianzhu "the Southern Mountain". It is amongst one of the very first key scenic spots in China and has been declared a National civilized forest park as well as a National 4A-level tourist area. The stunning scenery of the mountainside provides breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes, providing ample picture-perfect photography opportunities for photography enthusiasts. For nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, Mount Tianzhu is a must-visit attraction when travelling in Tianzhu.
