The Thunderbolt Stone - also known as the Thunder Stricken Stone - is a massive rock formation located at the vicinity of the scenic area of Tianzhu. The stone measures an imposing height of over 10 metres, with a perimeter of around 60 metres. Its round and black appearance also has a number of legends that surround it and the history of Thunderbolt Stone dates back to the reign of Emperor Zhenyuan of Tang way back in 786. The stone is also in close proximity to several other natural landscapes and attractions in Tianzhu and is quite a popular attraction in the area. It is a must-visit spot for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts who plan on doing some sight-seeing in the area.
