The Thunderbolt Stone - also known as the Thunder Stricken Stone - is a massive rock formation located at the vicinity of the scenic area of Tianzhu. The stone measures an imposing height of over 10 metres, with a perimeter of around 60 metres. Its round and black appearance also has a number of legends that surround it and the history of Thunderbolt Stone dates back to the reign of Emperor Zhenyuan of Tang way back in 786. The stone is also in close proximity to several other natural landscapes and attractions in Tianzhu and is quite a popular attraction in the area. It is a must-visit spot for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts who plan on doing some sight-seeing in the area.

Though designated prayer facilities near Thunderbolt Stone will be unavailable, plenty of open space is available in the area for Muslim travellers to make use of during prayer times. The Anqing Mosque is the main mosque around Tianzhu and is located in the Anqing City.
Halal food near Thunderbolt Stone will be unavailable and it is recommended that Muslim travellers bring some of their own food or snacks along with them when visiting the attraction. After sight-seeing, it is also possible to visit some of the Halal restaurants in Tianzhu that are located in Anqing City.
