Railay West Beach

Description

Railay West Beach is one of Railay's four beaches, along with Tonsai Beach, Railay East Beach and Phra Nang Beach. Railay West in particular is considered to be amongst the best beaches in South Thailand due to its impressive and spectacular scenery at any time of the day. The beach area is particularly picturesque during sunset when the sky turns into beautiful shades of crimson and when fishing boats arrive and depart. The area is a great place to sit back and admire the limestone cliffs in the distance. These cliffs take on various shapes and forms and make a pretty sight, with trees and shrubs covering the rock surface. Sports such as football and volleyball are also common at the beach.

Prayer Facilities

Muslim travellers in need of prayer facilities may visit some of the mosques near Aonang Beach - Masjid Aonang and Masjid KlongHaeng are the two closest mosques and are located about a kilometre away from Ao Nang. Plenty of private space in the area is also available to make use of during prayer times.

Halal Food

Halal food options will be available at Aonang Village which is home to a sizable Muslim community and quite a few Halal restaurants. RuenPreutsa, White Orchid, Wannas Place and Cleopatra are considered to be amongst the best halal restaurants in Aonang and serve a wide array of enticing Halal food for Muslim travellers.
