Noppharat Thara is a popular beach located adjacent to Ao Nang. The beach is also referred to as Klong Haeng by locals, which translates to "dry river" due to the retreating water at low tide. The beach is quite long and stretches on for around 5 kilometres, with a river splitting it into two. Several islands in the distance are visible from the beach and it is also possible to pay a visit to the Klong Haeng village - the closest village to the beach which is located about 700 metres away. Several shops and stalls are available along the beachfront that travellers may check out.

Muslim travellers in need of prayer facilities at Noppharat Thara may visit some of the mosques near Aonang Beach. Masjid Aonang and Masjid KlongHaeng are the two closest mosques to Ao Nang beach and are located about a kilometre away from Ao Nang. Plenty of private space in the area is also available to make use of during prayer times.
