Description

Loh Samah Bay is located towards the east of Phi Phi Ley and is considered to be amongst the best spots in the area for snorkelling and night diving. A thin limestone wall separates the bay from Maya Beach, with a small entrance that makes it possible to pass over to the other side. The depth of the bay ranges from about about 5 metres to around 20 metres and feature beautiful corals, clams and an abundance of marine life. Further in towards the bay, a narrow canyon can be seen with corals and giant morays, cuttlefish, octopuses and lionfish. With gentle currents and calm surface conditions, diving is possible all year round. To reach the bay, visitors will need to travel about 45 kilometres towards the east of Phuket which should take about 3 hours or about 30 kilometres south south of Krabi, which is about a 2 and half hour journey.
