Prayer Facilities

Although Muslim visitors may not be able to locate prayer facilities while at the Aga Khan Palace, there are quite a few mosques in Pune. Muslims visiting the palace could therefore ask to be directed to a mosque close by, or they could get directions to one of Pune’s popular mosques like the Jama Masjid or Chand Tara Masjid. They could also find a quiet place in the garden to offer their prayers, when needed.

Halal Food

While Muslim tourists will not find Halal food outlets inside the Aga Khan Palace, the city of Pune has a fantastic selection of Halal restaurants. These restaurants serve a range of cuisines and are located all over the city. Muslim visitors must also make it a point to try out some delicious street food while in Pune. Since a big number of Indians are vegetarian, Muslims visiting Pune will be able to find a vegetarian restaurant without a problem.
