Located in the heart of Hamburg, is a popular park in the city; the Planten un Blomen. This green oasis is the ideal spot for those looking to relax and un-wind, as well as for families looking to have a fun day outdoors. A highlight of the park is its water-light show, which takes place by the park’s lake every day. The Planten un Blomen is also popular for being home to a beautiful botanical garden; that houses tropical greenhouses, a rose garden, and the largest Japanese Garden in Europe. At the Japanese Garden, visitors will be able to witness traditional tea ceremonies, as well as participate in workshops on Japanese perfume ceremonies, Japanese calligraphy and more. The park is an absolute must-visit for those with kids. Apart from the attractions mentioned above, the Planten un Blomen offers numerous attractions and activities for children, ranging from puppet theatres to pony rides. Also found here is the world’s largest open-air artificial ice rink, which is also used as a roller and in-line skating rink during the summer.
