When in San Antonio, the Tower of the Americas is hard to miss. Located in the middle of Hemisphere Plaza, in downtown San Antonio, the 750 foot tall tower was built in 1968 for the World's Fair. From its observation deck, visitors are treated to breathtaking view of the Alamo City. The Tower of the Americas is also home to the Skies over Texas 4D Theater Ride, the Chart House Restaurant and a gift shop. The Chart House is a fine dining revolving restaurant that is situated at the top of the tower. Visitors get to enjoy a lovely meal all the while the restaurant revolves slowly, offering its diners spectacular views.

It will not be possible for Muslims visiting the Tower of the Americas to find prayer facilities. They can either locate a clean and quiet area in the surrounding Hemisphere Plaza, or visit one of the several mosques in the city. Masjid Al-Madina, Masjid Al-Ikhlas and the Islamic Center of San Antonio are just a few options.

Halal Food

For those looking for a fine dining experience, Chart House is the ideal restaurant. However, visitors seeking something less formal could visit the Tower Café which is located on the Observation Deck. While Muslim visitors will not be able to find Halal certified food at any of the dining establishments found at the attraction, they will be able to find suitable vegetarian and seafood options.
