The Leipzig Zoological Garden is an internationally noted attraction. It is popular with locals and tourists and is well known for its spectacular carnivore exhibit. The zoo is home to approximately 850 different species and has bred bears, lions and Siberian tigers, to name a few. It is also one of the most modern zoos in Europe consisting of the world's largest zoological facilities for primates. The Leipzig Zoological Garden also conducts exciting tours to educate its visitors on animal welfare and species conservation. Another famous tourist attraction is The Leipziger Baumwollspinnerei. Also known as the Leipzig Cotton Mill, it is one of the most popular industrial sites in Leipzig. It is also a unique art space and was once the largest cotton mill in continental Europe. It is now home to various galleries, studios, cafes, restaurants and much more.
