Lahore is one of the largest and important cities in Pakistan. Lahore is quite friendly and welcoming. The city is quite huge; when visiting the old town the best way is to walk or take a tuk-tuk. Shopping in Lahore can be fun and tiresome. There are numerous markets, malls and shopping centers where visitors can find a variety of items. Some good places to shop in Lahore are Safari shopping mall, Ichra Bazaar, MM Alam Road, Xinhua Mall, PACE and the Liberty Market.
Lahore is served by the Allama Iqbal International Airport. The airport is located about 20-30 minutes away from the city center. Visitors can take taxis or airport shuttles from the airport to the city. If visitors are hiring unmetered taxis it is important to decide on the rate before boarding it. The airport caters to domestic as well as international traffic.
