Manama, the capital of Bahrain is a modern and cosmopolitan city. The city serves as the economic center of the country and is an excellent destination to spend a holiday in. The city features an excellent shopping atmosphere and an array of attractions that are suitable for people of all age groups. The Bahrain Fort located about 4km from the city is a prime attraction for the visitors. The fort has been renovated recently and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Bahrain Fort Museum is also an equally interesting destination to visit.

In the city there are a few good museums such as the Bahrain national Museum, the Museum of Pearl Diving and the Heritage Center. The Lost Paradise of Dilmun Water Park is a great destination for people of all age groups to have fun. Along the eastern coast of Manama runs the Corniche al-Fateh, an impressive seaside promenade lined with cafes and amusement options.
