Melaka is a beautiful destination to spend a vacation. The area has gained a lot of importance for medical tourism. However the beautiful historic sites and architecture have attracted vacationers. From clothing to electronics, visitors can find a number of items available in these markets and malls.
The Malacca International Airport is the main airport serving the city. The airport is located about 10 Km from the city center. There is regular bus service from the main road of the airport to different parts of the city.
The nearest major airport to Melaka is the Kuala Lumpur International Airport which is about 2 hours away from the city. From the Kuala Lumpur International Airport visitors can take direct buses (Transnasional) that run regularly. These buses cost around RM 16-22. Taxis are also available from the airport to Melaka and ideally cost around RM 159 for a one-way trip.
