Another brilliant architecture in Pontianak is the Kadriyah Sultanate Palace. It was built in 1778 by the city’s founder. Pontianak is served by the Supadio International Airport. This airport is about 17 km away from Pontianak. Taxis and buses are available from the Supadio Airport to Pontianak. The fares for both taxi and bus from the airport are around Rp 100,000.

Pontianak is surrounded with grand mosques. The largest mosque in West Kalimantan is Masjid Raya Mujahidin with the capacity of 9,000 jamaah. Other famous mosques in town are Masjid Al-Falah, Masjid Jami Sultan Syarif Abdurrahman, Mushalla Surau Al-Hikmah, and Masjid Sultan Syarif Abdurrahman.
