1. Gyeongbokgung Palace


Gyeongbokgung is also known as the Northern Palace, is one of the top attractions in South Korea and the most impressive of the five palaces in the country. This historical palace was constructed in 1395 and was the main palace of the Joseon Dynasty - it was damaged during the 20th-century Japan-Korea war and has been restored since. The Gyeonghoeru Pavilion is quite spectacular and do drop by the Hyangwonjeon Pond as well. The two museums located within the palace include the National Palace Museum and the National Folk Museum which are ideal places to learn more about Korean culture.

2. Bukchon Hanok Village

Bukchon Hanok Village is among the must-visit attractions in Seoul if you are looking for great cultural experience in South Korea. This village is located within Gyeongbokgung Palace, Changdeokgung Palace, and the Jongmyo Shrine. Bukchon is a residential area that consists of charming hanok houses as well as tea houses, craft workshops and more, that will give visitors a true experience in Korean culture. This is an original Hanok village and was not built for Korea tourism purposes – making it ideal for an authentic experience.

3. Children's Grand Park Seoul

Despite the name, the Children’s Grand Park is enjoyable for everyone and can be a good place for a family day out when you visit Seoul. Visit the zoo to see kangaroos, polar bears and tigers or maybe the petting zoo to feed ponies and goats – or just enjoy nature by going for a garden stroll. The park is ideal for a group visit where you can spend time at the amusement park or water park with kids too.

4. N Seoul Tower

The N Seoul Tower or Namsan Tower is definitely one of the must-see attractions in Seoul that is also a popular landmark. The tower is always beautifully lit up, and taking in the view of the glittering city is one of the best things to do in Seoul at night – you can take rides up to the observation deck in the Namsan cable car. The interesting thing about the Seoul Tower is that its colours change according to the weather conditions, informing the public of good or bad weather. 5. Myeondong

6. War Memorial Of Korea

As one of the top attractions in South Korea, this site also symbolises the importance of peace. The War Memorial Of Korea is built upon the army headquarters and this is where visitors can view warplanes, tanks, and weapons on display. The museum is home to at least 33,000 Korean War artefacts and 10, 000 are currently on display. There are six indoor halls that feature different themes related to the war, including the Memorial Room and Large Weapons Room.

7. Hongdae Free Market
