1. Gadong Night Market

The area of Gadong is like a suburb of Bandar Seri Begawan, with two hotels, a shopping mall, and a bunch of stores. What stands out here though is the night market, perfect for street food and soaking up the local atmosphere. If roughing it out on the streets is not your style though, the mall has plenty of good places to shop, including stores that cater to Muslim fashion.

2. Hua Ho Department Store

If you are looking for convenience and to shop like a local, this is the store to visit. It has all the daily necessities that you may require, with multiple branches spread across the country. Another great place to shop in the ethnicity of Brunei is the open-air flea market of Tamu Kianggeh. Open every day from early morning to late evening, you can find delicious eatables and locally made artifacts for you to take home as souvenirs. It is also one of the cheapest shopping places in Bandar Seri Begawan.

A beautiful place with picturesque views, this is not exactly a budget shopping place in Bandar Seri Begawan. An upscale shopping mall with wide avenues and a fountain, it is the perfect spot to browse and stroll around, if designer stores are not your type. It also has one of the best angles of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque.
