Terminals

The Airport has three terminals. Terminal 1, 2 and 3

Prayer Facilities

Prayer rooms are available in all the Terminals (1, 2 and 3) within the Transit areas. Although they are multi-faith prayer rooms, they cater to the requirements of Salaath with wudu facilities and male and female prayer areas.

The directions to the prayer rooms are clearly marked. If you are unable to find them, please ask the staff at the airport.

It is better to perform Salaath in the airport prayer rooms at the transit area before leaving immigration, as the nearest Masjid is a few kilometres away. Changi airport does not have prayer rooms in the public areas.

Halal Food

Changi airport has many halal food outlets both in the transit areas and the public areas. Look for the Halal logo at the food outlets to make sure they are certified as Halal Food.

Transport

There are various choices for getting from the airport to the city and back. If you would like to drive around yourself in Singapore you can rent a car at the Car Rental Counters open from 7 am to 11 pm at each terminal.

Taxis are the most convenient way of getting to and from the Airport. They are easily available at each terminal, 24 hours a day, with the fare being the metered fare plus additional airport charges. The normal taxi will cost around S$25.00 to the city. Getting a taxi to get to the Airport from anywhere in the city is not difficult.

The train or Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) is also a good option for the budget conscious travellers. It will only cost a few dollars per person for a one way ticket. The journeys both to the city and back each take less than half an hour. The MRT Station is located under Terminals 2 and 3 and the first train arrives at around 0530hr and the last leaves at 2318hr.

Shopping

There is plenty of great shopping as well as entertainment at Changi one could spend hours there without getting bored, just make sure not to miss your next flight! Plasma TVs are set up at each terminal, displaying the latest daily and financial news.

The Entertainment Deck at Terminal 2 offers the traveller a free LAN Gaming Room, a Movie Theatre and Xbox360/Playstation 3 equipped with the latest games. All three terminals offer passengers in transit free screenings at the Movie Lounges, 24 hours a day. Children's Playgrounds for children aged 1 to 12 years are available in all three terminals.

For Nature Lovers, Changi Airport boasts 6 gardens in its transit areas. There are four beautiful gardens in Terminal 2: the Orchid Garden & Koi Pond, the rooftop Sunflower Garden, the Bamboo Garden and the Fern Garden & Koi Pond. The famous rooftop cactus garden can be found in Terminal 1, and the world's first airport Butterfly Garden, also home to about 200 carnivorous plants, is located at Terminal 3.
