Maiskogel

Description

Located in the Zell am See-Kaprun region is the Maiskogel Family Mountain; a family-friendly attraction like no other. Surrounded by mountains and offering a variety of attractions and activities, for young and old, Maiskogel is a must-visit when in the holiday region. It is home to Maisi’s Mini World, with a petting zoo, a bouncy castle, hiking trails and more, as well as a big playground, 68 hectares of ski slopes, a bike park and the Maisiflitzer, which is the highlight of the attraction. The Maisiflitzer is the first alpine rollercoaster in the Salzburg province. This all-year tobogganing track offers an experience like no other by offering visitors the thrill of making a 1,300 metre long descent into the valley at up to 40km/h. The ride is however great for all, as the visitor gets to choose the speed the toboggan goes at. While here, visitors will also get the chance to take a ride on a snowcat and to try out grass skiing.

Prayer Facilities

Muslims visiting Maiskogel will not be able to find prayer facilities at the attraction. They will however be able to locate a secluded area outdoors to offer their prayers. If unable to, Muslim visitors could make use of the facilities offered at the small mosque in the town of Zell am See.  

Halal Food

Visitors to Maiskogel Family Mountain should be able to find some food outlets within the attraction. They will also be able to find a variety of good restaurants and cafés in the Zell am See-Kaprun area. For Muslims visiting the area, there are a few Halal restaurants in the town of Zell am See.
