Description

Just a three-hour drive from the city limits is the World Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park, with a remarkable variety and concentration of wildlife, vast floodplains and billabongs, forests, and rugged rocky hills. Come marvel at some of the park’s prolific Aboriginal rock art, and get a sense of one of the longest historical records of any group of people on earth. As you explore, you will see a sample of the more than 2,000 plant species, a quarter of Australia’s freshwater fish species and more than a third of its birds that are all resident in the park.  Join a cruise to see saltwater crocodiles, and lose yourself in an unforgettable sunrise and sunset from the top of the rocky outcrops overlooking vast wetlands. Challenge yourself to tackle any one of the four-wheel drives and bushwalking trails. It is nearly 20,000 square kilometres of exceptional natural beauty and unique biodiversity.
