Nanjing has a history of over 2000 years and has served as the capital for over 10 dynasties. A walk through the city gives visitors an insight into the history of the area. The historic atmosphere of the city is prevalent all around. A boat ride on the Qin Huai River is a good option to see the beautiful sights and the city. It is known for its history and the City Wall of Nanjing is just the attraction worth seeing. The Ruins of the Ming Dynasty and the Imperial Palace are also excellent sites to visit.

The Nanjing Museum features several exhibition halls that display several pieces of silk, pottery and bronze work. The Taiping Kingdom History Museum is also a good place to learn about the history of the area. It can take an entire day to explore the Presidential Palace, which is one of the most majestic buildings in the city. The Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge extends over 6 Km and is a typical example of classic Chinese architecture. The Zifeng Tower is the tallest town in the city and has an observation deck on the 72nd floor.

Nanjing offers some exclusive shopping opportunities. The Xinjiekou district has the best boutiques, stores and shopping centers where visitors can find the best and latest fashion. The Hunan Road is also an excellent place to shop. The Aqua City Shopping Centre houses several international stores.

Nearby Airports

The Lukou International Airport serves Nanjing. The airport is located around 35 Km from the city. Shuttle bus service is available from the airport to the city. Visitors can also take taxis from the airport to the city. The journey takes 30 minutes and costs around 100 CNY for a one-way trip.

Locating halal food and restaurants in Nanjing is easy. Some of the best halal food in the city include the Punjabi Indian Restaurant and the Maxiangxing Halal Restaurant.
