The main attraction of Ottawa is the large number of museums and the beautiful architecture that dominates most of the streets. The Parliament Hill is the main attraction for visitors to Ottawa. The Parliament Hill is located in the center of downtown and overlooks the Ottawa River. The building is an excellent example of Gothic revival style architecture.
The Laurier House National Historic Site is a beautiful 17th century home with a copper roof and has been home to two prime ministers. The house has several mementoes and exhibits that are worth seeing. There are several museums in the city like Canadian Museum of Nature, Science and Technology Museum,Canadian Museum of Civilization,Bytown Museum, etc. The National Gallery is also an excellent place to visit.
Ottawa also offers a wonderful shopping scene. There are some great markets and malls dotted across Ottawa that are good to visit.
