Ipoh, the capital of Malaysia's Perak state, is one of the country's largest cities.

The picturesque city, which is situated inland from Malaysia's west coast, enjoyed some notoriety for its tin mining operations during the colonial era. Ipoh is frequently referred to as the Cameron Highlands' entrance. 

The preservation of Ipoh's British colonial-era architecture has substantially increased the city's appeal as a vacation spot in recent years.
