With a history dating back as early as the 18th century, 17 Mile Drive has always been known for its beauty and is filled with coastal cliffs, white beaches, and lush forests. A day in the Monterey Peninsula would also be enough as you can explore the 17 Mile Drive through a single drive along the road.

Some of the must-visit attractions along the road are the mystical Lone Cypress, the beauty of the Restless Sea and Fanshell Beach, the buzzing Bird Rock, walking or biking along the Spanish Bay, and other attractions to name a few.

Although it is a gated community, nonresidents can enjoy the beauty of the road by paying a certain fee upon entrance. Hotels, restaurants, golf courses, and other establishments are also available for a prolonged and the finest stay! Try to also drop by a small city called Carmel-by-the-Sea which is located by the entrance along your drive, as the quaint city offers a unique experience and beauty.

One of the best road excursions in the world is Alberta's Icefields Parkway! With good reason, too. Along the trip, there are a lot of sights to take in where awe-inspiring scenes unfold. The journey begins in Banff and travels north through the Rocky Mountains on Highway 1. It stretches over two of Canada's most stunning National Parks, Jasper National Park as well as Banff National Park.

While driving along the 232 kilometers long road, you’ll feast your eyes on the beautiful mountain ranges, glaciers, and turquoise lakes. With a bunch of beautiful viewpoints, you may engage in some activities such as trekking, or spend your day relaxing by enjoying the beauty of mirror lakes reflecting rugged snow-capped mountains.

One of the highlights of your drive would be the Athabasca Glacier, where you may take a snowcat tour of this enormous sheet of ice and go for a walk on the Icefields Skyway. Some other hotspots that you should visit in Icefields Parkway include Bow Lake, Columbia Icefields Skywalk, Athabasca Glacier, Banff, Jasper, and Lake Louise.

With a coastline that is sculpted by one of the highest tides in the world, you’ll be served with a beautiful view of the Bay of Fundy Parkway, which is also home to the well-known Hopewell Rocks. Driving along or hiking the trails with a view of the enormous sea cliffs that abruptly descended into the water as the backdrop is one of the highlights of your visit.

If you choose to pass through the Fundy National Park, you’ll be missing out on some of the most beautiful and unspoiled beaches and waterfalls to enjoy. As one of North America’s longest coastlines combined with the highest tides in the world, it created a condition where it also allows you to stroll out for kilometers on the ocean bottom. Take your time as you travel down this section of road, which features some of the most breathtaking landscapes on the planet.

Take breaks every two hours, remain hydrated by drinking water, and reward yourself with some fantastic music to keep you awake.
