It is considered to be the most popular attraction in West Australia, drawing over 5 million visitors annually. Covering a massive land area of over 4 square kilometres, Kings Park is renowned for its rich Aboriginal and European history, culture and stunning design. It includes the Western Australian Botanic Garden which is home to over 3,000 species of unique flora and a vast area of protected bushland home to a wealth of wildlife. In addition to botanic gardens, Kings Park also features several memorials, walks, a DNA Tower, an Aboriginal Art Gallery, Synergy Parkland, Lotterywest Family Area, Royal King's Park Tennis Club and Jacob's Ladder - a set of stairs which is a popular relaxing area for Perth residents.
