Perth Airport is the fourth largest airport in Australia and is located 12km (7.5 miles) northeast of Perth. It is an Australian domestic and international airport situated south of Guildford, with a regional, domestic and an international terminal.

The international terminal (Terminal 1) is on the east side of the main runway and the domestic terminals (Terminals 2 and 3) are on the west side of the airfield.

Prayer Facilities

A non-denominational prayer room is located on the ground floor of Terminal 1 with a number of toilets where ablution can easily be performed in various locations in this terminal.

The nearest mosque from the airport is the Canning Masjid and Islamic Association located on 273 Welshpool Road, Queens Park 6107. It is 7 km, or about 9 minutes away from the airport.

Halal Food

There are a number of cafes in the airport serving coffee, cakes and sandwiches, however none of these include halal selections.

It is worth noting for the Muslim traveller that Viliƒ??s pies, which are available throughout Australia in many takeaway shops, are halal certified, however it is not confirmed whether these are available at the Perth Airport.

The nearest halal restaurant from the airport is Nandos on 161 Altone Road, Beechboro, WA 6063. It is at a distance of 15 km, about 16 minutes away from the airport and has a complete halal menu. They have clean restrooms with no prayer accommodations and it uses halal certified chicken (from Barter Steggles) across every store in Australia. Each of their restaurants serving halal chicken displays a certificate from their supplier.

Other famous halal restaurants in Perth include Dƒ??Tandoor in Leederville, near the airport which serves authentic Indian dishes and Suri Indian Takeaway in Marangaroo.

Transport

Transportation between the international and domestic terminals is either by shuttle bus or taxi. The transport options which are available to and from Perth Airport include taxis, buses, shuttles and car rentals.

Buses and Shuttles: Perth Airport Connect Shuttle Service transports passengers to and from a number of Perth locations running between the terminals and the city. Their stops are located near hotels, motels and hostels in Perth. The Fremantle Airport Shuttle going to Fremantle, a suburb of Perth, is also available. If there are children who are five years old and under then they ride free of cost. The domestic terminal can be accessed by multiple regular public bus services operated by Transperth.

Taxis: Taxi ranks are situated outside the international and domestic terminals, Skippers Aviation, National Jet Systems which is located on Valentine Road and you can easily pay for the fares in advance as well. There are no extra charges for luggage and the same taxi fares apply for an individual or a group of people. Car Rentals:

Car rental customer service desks are located on terminal 1 on the ground floor (international) and in terminals 2 and 3 (domestic). The car rental services are provided by Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Redspot and Thrifty. The airport does not have rail services at the moment, but is planning to by 2024.

Shopping

First Duty Free in Terminal 1 offers the usual variety of products like fragrances, technology, jewellery, accessories and more. There are also popular Australian brands available at shops like Australian Way, Purely Australian Clothing, Outback Australia and many more. Gifts can be bought from Australian Gems and Jewellery for that last minute shopping and reading material can be purchased from Newslink.

Amenities

Terminal 1 has four foreign exchange bureaus on the ground floor, first floor and in the departure lounge. A Rediteller ATM is on the ground floor and first floor which accepts all major credit cards including American Express, MasterCard and Visa. Terminal 2 has two ATMƒ??s located near the main entrance of the terminal. It has a Bank West ATM and a Westpac ATM.

Adjacent to the screening point is the Travelex foreign exchange bureau on the ground floor of terminal 2 available before and after customs. Travelex has a choice of 40 currencies and all of their outlets are open for service every flight, 365 days of the year with customer friendly service. Terminal 3 (Multi-User Domestic) has a BankWest ATM at its front, opposite the taxi rank.

There are range of services and facilities available at Perth Airport for maximum comfort of its passengers. Each of the terminals has facilities for parents where they can easily nurse their children amongst soft furnishings, baby changing tables and nappy disposal bins.

Terminal 1 has an outdoor childrenƒ??s playground located on the west side of the building. There is also an area where people can watch the aircrafts arriving and departing from the public observation deck on the third floor. To go there visitors must take a lift from the ground floor of the terminal or come up from the stairs which are outside Downtown Duty Free.

First aid is available only a phone all away, internet access is available on the ground floor, first floor and the departure lounge of terminal 1. Stamps are available at the airport news agency and a posting box is outside the front of terminal 1 and the departure lounge if anybody needs a letter or post card sent out. Showers can be taken in the restrooms located adjacent to the departure gates on the first floor of Terminal 1 and on the second floor departureƒ??s lounge.

Terminal 2 has first aid assistance on its ground floor where a supervisor needs to be contacted at the check-in desk. Internet access is available on the first floor and a posting box is located outside the front of terminal 2. Terminal 3 has first aid assistance which is only a phone call away, internet access is available on the ground floor and first floor and a posting box is located outside the front of terminal 3.
