Plovdiv is a beautiful city located along the Maritsa River in Bulgaria. The city having seen different rulers over the centuries offers a mix of East and West. Plovdiv is quite picturesque and is home to several gardens, monuments, museums and art galleries. The Old Town area in Plovdiv is of particular mention and resembles an open-air museum. Plovdiv is served by the Plovdiv International Airport. There is a bus that connects the airport to the Yoog bus station. Taxis are also available at the airport and ideally cost around 15 leva.
There are no designated halal restaurants at Plovdiv. It is best for visitors to enquire at the mosque or ask with the locals about availability of halal food in the area. There are a few vegetarian restaurants in Plovdiv like Veggic.
