Cardiff is one of the newest and most vibrant capitals in Europe. The city is a cultural center and beautifully preserves the history and heritage of the area. Cardiff has lately become one of the most visited travel destinations in UK.  There are several museums, landmarks and memorials all around Cardiff that visitors will enjoy visiting. Topographically the city is quite flat and this has helped it in becoming as one of the most popular port cities in Europe. The city center of Cardiff is located close to the Cardiff Bay. For Muslim visitors Cardiff has a few decent halal facilities.

The Cardiff Castle is one of the most popular attractions in the city and is located in the city center. The Cardiff Bay and the Cardiff Bay Visitor Centre are good places to visit. The Cardiff Bay Visitor Center features the history of how Cardiff Bay was made into the most popular port. Cardiff features a number of parks and gardens. The Cathays Park and the Bute Park are the main parks in the city. There are some other noteworthy landmarks in Cardiff like the Caerau Castle Ringwork, Castell Coch, Beaupre Castle, Penmark Castle, etc. 

Cardiff features beautiful Victorian arcades where visitors would love to shop. Some good places to shop in Cardiff include Queen St, St. The Hayes and Mary Street. The Morgan Arcade, Castle Arcade and Central Market offer a great local shopping experience.

Nearby Airports

The main airport serving Cardiff is the Cardiff International Airport. The airport is located about 12 miles from the city. There are regular buses that ply visitors to the city center. Car rentals and taxis are also available from the airport to the city.
