HalalTrip to Indonesia – Day 7 with Nurfatiin

All of us didn't want the day to end. We wanted to stay in Indonesia forever! But all good things has to end. We decided to head to the beach behind our hotel and take pictures before we bid adieu. So we walked together reminiscing the days we had together. Once there, we couldn't stop taking pictures. The sand and the sea harmonised to create a beautiful picture. Lelah and I went into the sea jus...

HalalTrip to Indonesia – Day 6 in Bali with Nurfatiin

We left our hotel early to watch the Barong dance which left us wanting to see more of what Bali can offer. I realised that the Balinese are very detailed and colourful. They are very proud of their culture and I appreciate that. After which, we went to Sari Amerta Batik Collection to view and buy the beautiful batik that they have to offer. I bought a beautiful black batik which I planned to wear...

HalalTrip to Indonesia – Day 5 in Bali with Nurfatiin

We reached Bali at around 11:00 a.m. I have been anticipating this leg of the trip. I've always wanted to go to Bali. The minute we stepped out of the plane, I was already in love with the carvings and details. Last night was wonderful. We had the whole evening to ourselves where we can roam around on our own and explore Kuta by ourselves. It was pretty weird not having an itinerary after the litt...

    Masjid Agung Assasutaqwa

We visited Masjid Agung Assasutaqwa. Although Bali is an island of Hinduism, at least 13% of it's population is Muslim. So you don't have to worry about not having a place to pray!

HalalTrip to Indonesia – Day 3 in Garut with Nurfatiin

Phew! Today was rough. We were on the road most of the time and it was bumpy. We drove up and down and by the end of the day, I got really sick. Lelah even threw up. I just needed to find my equilibrium. But even with all that, we had a great time. We started off with lunch at Nasi Liwet "Asep Strawberry" Ciaro, Nagreg. This really was the highlight of the day. All off us on the trip agreed that t...

HalalTrip to Indonesia – Day 2 in Jakarta with Nurfatiin

Hello everyone! This morning, I skipped breakfast and chose to sleep in instead. Don't you worry. I will definitely try Sofyan Inn's breakfast tomorrow. We started off the day with Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII)! I remember visiting TMII when I was younger (way younger). Actually the only thing I remembered is taking the ferris wheel. We visited Rumah Gadang, home to the people of Minangkabau. ...

    Mama, I'm home!

We visited the house for Jawa Tengah and I was reminded of my late grandfather. He hailed from the island and was brought to Singapore during the Japanese occupation. Taman Mini Indonesia Indah is definitely a place worth visit.

HalalTrip to Indonesia - Day 1 in Jakarta with Nurfatiin

It was a beautiful day in Singapore. Lelah and I were very excited to start on our three cities adventure. We checked in and off we go! The flight was fairly smooth and easy. This is coming from someone who has a fear in flying. That 1 hour 50 mins flight felt like 30 minutes! We slept peacefully and woke up rejuvenated. We were ready to embark on an adventure with Fatin Suhana and Yuyu Zulaikha! ...
